not as easy as you think ESPECIALLY if you have something important on your PC. yes, i do plan to install linux on my ancient laptop and my PC, however i need a separate drive because i want to keep my data and i don't have anywhere to back up my data to(except for a 2GB USB drive, but i also need a separate one for installing the OS cause it might not fit on the 2GB USB drive), software compatibility is also an issue. my dad uses the old laptop for architecture and i have concerns that the software used will not run even with windows compatibility layers on linux.
