i think most of these are far from inherent, and it's very possible to follow a religion while still being morally upright
given morality is subjective I don't think that (in theory, in practice things will be muddier) this is really an argument that can be made without subscribing to some sort of base morality (which i think is somewhat like a religion in its own right)
I don't think religion necessarily tries to explain everything rationally, but, at least in my experience, rational explanations are a much nicer thing to believe in than just "this is how it is"
given it's still very possible to be religious without being a terrible person, I don't think there's harm in believing for the sake of finding a purpose or believing in some deeper meaning of life, especially if that's something the person wants
