I don't oppose the sacrifice of health for enjoyment, but my aversion towards alcohol specifically stems from the ratio between positive and negative effects. I don't think it's worth it, there are many drugs that are just as fun as, if not better than, alcohol with much lesser health decline. Such a shame many of those are illegal tho....
