Im surprised as well that I managed to completely avoid it while I was a young, naive kid. I think its because I kept my feeds highly curated, and didnt care about anything else. If an accounts posts werent 90% of the content I wanted, I would not follow them.

There was a joke on Tumblr that everyone got random porn on their dashboard at least once, but I never did! Though at times I did feel a bit sad like I was missing out on a shared experience, and wasnt truly part of the "community"
