The scene was sirens, violence, car alarms
My neighbour waving from his yard with half an arm
Vietnam in the suburbs, the walking dead
Burning down the house like Talking Heads
A city on fire not a city of god
A city that hides from a hideous mob

Today, promise me you’ll stop and close your eyes and listen to what’s around you. Stop and feel the wind or sun on your face. Take something back be it a fraction of a second. Remember how small we are in comparison to the rest of the universe. We I’ll all be dust soon, enjoy your walk to the end of the cliff, we will all fall off it eventually.
Pay mind to what’s important, and if you turn your phone off, it becomes unimportant.
