Also, for the notifications API endpoint, why is there a "before" option but no "after" option? I can't think of any reason I'd want old notifications, but I definitely know I want new notifications.

Could you add a way to get the profile picture of an account using the API?

That would be really cool, to be honest. ^_^

Wouldn't it be really nice if users could somehow share music? I know it's not the focus of this site, but it'd be a nice bonus

i think i could make a giant whitelist of free radio streams and we could popularity rank them. i dont want it to feature creep too much

I feel like that would take away some of the user-generated aspects of the site. Maybe users could list their own webstreams that other people can listen to? It does restrict the feature to people that are able to host audio 24/7 but it introduces no extra load on your servers. Maybe both? Idk man

we would just link to existing internet radio streams. we could allow users to add their own. i need to look into the protocols more and how they work. just a random thought i had and wanted to see what people thought

It's a great idea, but i feel like the streams should (or a part of them) should be user generated too. It would be fucking awesome to open vlc and just start streaming straight to other people :)

(HTTP, MMSH, RTSP, RTP, IceCast (my personal favourite) are the protocols vlc supports by default)
