I'm looking for a job and the only one I could find that could work for me is babysitting a 1 year old. I despise children not in a performative way I honestly just hate having to take care of something that requires so much effort and attention and affection when I don't even like them. Plus I have no experience in childcare. Still considering signing up though just so I get more experience with children.

I understand that some people just don't like having to take initiative but I feel that the reason why the majority of people refuse to is due to the prevalence of the idea that everything remotely unusual or different is "cringy". Nothing pisses me off more than being forced to decide for someone else what they want to do with themselves.
