It's so fulfilling to have someone call me radical. Like, I know that I'm not THAT radical, but hell yeah, I AM making you challenge your beliefs. Let's fucking go.
I feel like people think don't know how to or just decide not to use more punctuation than just periods and commas are missing out on so much. I love punctuation.
I HATE when people start arguing eugenics. Like at that point there's no way to have an intelligent discussion because you've just admitted to me that you believe cavemen were the greatest race based on absolutely nothing but your ignorance.
All of the posts talking about how they forgot about this site and/ or need to post more irritate me because I feel like that's obviously the general consensus.
People that constantly take the moral high ground in every situation seem very ignorant to me. It's fine to admit that you said something wrong or that could've been interpreted differently- that's not a reason to start attacking someone with threats and insults.
I'm looking for a job and the only one I could find that could work for me is babysitting a 1 year old. I despise children not in a performative way I honestly just hate having to take care of something that requires so much effort and attention and affection when I don't even like them. Plus I have no experience in childcare. Still considering signing up though just so I get more experience with children.
The disappointing truth of humanity is that people are selfish instinctively. It's perfectly normal to be selfish in some ways, don't work yourself up too much over the little things. It's better to just focus on improving yourself a little day-to-day than wallow in past mistakes. (From a person that deeply relates)
The other side of this expectation of affection is understanding that you deserve to be loved as much as the next person is. Again, I know this may sound too simple, but talk to your friends, your roommate, and anyone else you're concerned you gave a bad impression to. You'll find that even if you did make them uncomfortable, they will often want to understand, especially if you initiate the conversation.
Relationships can only deepen built on mutual understanding. Hiding yourself constantly and suddenly bursting out into a different person will be worrying to your companions who believed you to be a different person.
Reiterated, just talk, first, at least. From there, you can get a better idea of what your company actually thinks, instead of wallowing in anxious projections.
